Vuong Nguyen – Founder and Director
I graduated from RMIT with a Bachelor of Engineering degree and worked in the petrochemical industry in engineering and commercial roles for over 10 years. I then joined one of Australia’s leading energy retailers for nearly 10 years looking after wholesale gas contracts and carbon reporting regulations.
With the engineering and energy experience and the love of building, I obtained qualifications to be a NatHERS thermal assessor and BDAV accreditation.
I’m a sports fanatic and follow North Melbourne Kangaroos in the AFL. I get involved in the local community through junior basketball coaching and Neighbourhood Watch. In my spare time, I enjoy cycling and outdoor activities for fresh air and exercise.
Stephen Burgum – Director
After completing my degree and working for world-leading investment banks in the UK and Australia, I moved into the energy industry to pursue my interest in renewable energy and sustainability. I led a successful energy consulting start-up for several years before joining V-Star Energy as co-Director and becoming a HERA accredited NatHERS thermal assessor, complementing my energy efficiency expertise with sustainable building design.
With a young family at home I enjoy involving the kids in sustainability. Just ask me about my veggie patch and backyard chooks!
