The National Construction Code (NCC) requires that new commercial buildings meet minimum energy efficiency requirements under Section J “Energy Efficiency” provisions.
Building surveyors and authorities require energy efficiency performance assessment reports to be prepared, assessing the building against the Deemed-to-Satisfy (DTS) Provisions of the NCC to demonstrate compliance.
Most simple commercial buildings can be assessed using the DTS pathway. Larger and more complex buildings will require the collaboration of specific professionals such as engineers and technicians to demonstrate full compliance of the Section J provisions.
Our expert team understand the provisions of NCC Section J and will work with your commercial designer to prepare a report that demonstrates compliance to obtain a building permit.
